- Nursing and midwifery professionals are those who plan, provide and evaluate treatment, support and care services for people who are in need of such care due to effects of ageing, injury, illness or other physical or mental impairment, or potential risks to health including before, during and after childbirth. Occupations included in this category typically require knowledge and skills obtained as the result of study in nursing or midwifery at a higher educational institution.
