UNODC Glossary of terms for quality assurance and good laboratory practice
Definition
Demonstrable proof that a laboratory has set up documented procedures to implement all of the requirements of a recognized standard (such as ISO/IEC 17025). If these procedures are verified by an external agency which can certify that they are in place, are used and are effective, then the laboratory is eligible for accreditation.
